I played Broomieknowe Golf course tonight, It must be 25 years since I have played there. My Golfing buddy Ross Cooper and I have been playing regularly for the last 4 years, previous members at Kings acres, and now at Castle Park which is going through a large renovation phase. We regularly book various courses via T-Off Times, and play courses like Duddingston and St Andrews among many, we also play in larger groups, and have played Celtic Manor, Slayley Hall, Carden Park etc etc......... The reason for writing to you was to congratulate Broomieknowe on the Golf course, It was in Beautiful condition, the greens are stunning, Tees excellent and the overall appearance of the course and playing experience is first Class!!

We were very impressed, and will be back!!

A group of nine of us , 6 from Stirling and 3 from Nottingham played your course yesterday 3rd of August , the minute we arrived everyone made us feel very welcome from the pro , caterer and administrator . After playing the course which was in great condition we had a lovely meal in the clubhouse and a nice chat with the Captain .

Thanks to everyone for helping us have a great day we will definitely be back ,

Just finished a game thank to invite from Bob R. The course is in fantastic condition. The greens are some of the best I have played on fast and true, compared to the greens at my club.Great meal after. Thank you.

Scottish Gas Charity Day

Thanks for hosting us on Friday (16th) on what I think is now our 5th year in a row at Broomieknowe.  If I could only plan the weather like we had on Friday every time, I’d be laughing! As you know this one was a little closer to home as our funds went towards the Brain Tumour Charity this year in memory of our Scottish Gas colleague who was sadly taken from us far too soon earlier this year.  Huge thanks to the part Broomieknowe played in allowing us to come back again and do this event for him. The course as always was a pleasure to play with some tricky pin positions. The food was great and lads enjoyed a few beers afterwards in the clubhouse, please pass on my thanks to Liz who looked after us so well.

Fingers crossed we’ve behaved ourselves this year to merit another outing next year

Thanks again and all the very best for the rest of the season.

The Society of Edinburgh and Lothians Golf Captains

Just a note to thank the Captain Council and Members of Broomieknowe for the courtesy extended to us when we held our annual match against Northumberland Captains.

Everything went off very well. The weather was good and the food excellent, indeed the only downside was that we lost to Northumberland

Once again many thanks
