How to book the simulator & cancellation policy
- Booking is via the BRS booking App.
- Payments must be made in advance via credit or debit card. Cash payments are NOT accepted.
How far in advance can members book the simulator?
Bookings can be made 8 days in advance, just like casual golf bookings via BRS.
Opening hours – 9am until 9pm – 7 days a week
- The BRS booking system will control the time slots available.
- The core hours will be from 9am until the last session from 9pm until 10pm.
- Minimum 1hr slots
Winter opening hours
We may restrict opening hours in the winter depending on the clubhouse opening hours. Any changes to opening hours will be reflected on the BRS booking system.
Accessing the simulator room
If un-occupied prior to play, members should obtain the 4-digit access code from Mark Patchett or the bar. On departure, the room must be locked by the club member who booked the time slot.
How long can the simulator be booked for?
To give every member a fair chance of using the simulator, it will be restricted to a maximum of two hours per booking. This may be reviewed by Council and changed at any time to suit demand.
Handover time
Members should vacate the room when their time slot ends. Failure to do so, leading to another member having a delayed start, may result in the members future access to the simulator being restricted for a month or indefinitely.
Cancellation policy – a minimum 24hrs in advance
If for any reason a member cannot use the simulator, they must cancel the booking through the BRS system as soon as possible so the slot can be made available to other members. No other communication platform is acceptable (telephone, e-mail, DM, etc). A full refund will be issued in 10 working days from date of cancellation. If a cancellation is made less than 24hrs before your allocated slot, no refund will be made. Any “appeals” on refunds should be passed to the Club Steward by email to Administrator@broomieknowe.com
Use your own golf clubs & equipment in the simulator room.
- Members and guests must bring their own clubs to use with the simulator.
- Players MUST use the golf balls provided in the simulator room, thus avoiding damage to the screen from “dirty balls”
- Members MUST only use the plastic tees provided.
Before you start play/practice – download the orange Trackman4 App.
A club representative may be available to provide a brief overview of how to operate the equipment at the start of your session. This is part of your allocated time slot. Training sessions have also been offered to members in advance of the opening.
Golf lessons with Club Professional
These can be booked & paid for as normal with Mark Patchett. In addition, the normal simulator fee will be charged by the Club and booked via BES as normal. Please discuss the lesson fee with Mark as normal.
Club Professional use – club fitting/testing
The Club Professional can use the simulator room for short sessions with members buying a new club, but only if the simulator is free and that the session does not last more than 15 minutes.
Damage to the room or simulator equipment
There will be 24hr CCTV in the simulator room and footage will be reviewed if there is any damage to the room or the equipment. Any members identified damaging the equipment or the clubhouse will be dealt with under the club’s disciplinary process. Liability for costs of repair or replacement rests entirely with the person who booked the session.
Food and drink in the simulator room
Drinks – Club members can purchase bottled beer, cider and drinks from the bar in the clubhouse and take them to the simulator room. Members and guests must return all glassware to the bar and leave the room as they found it. No drinks purchased off site can be brought into the simulator room.
Food – No “cooked food” of any kind (including take-aways) can be eaten in the simulator room – but crisps and bar snacks purchased from the clubhouse restaurant/bar can be eaten in the room. No food purchased off site can be brought into the simulator room.
Hygiene
Regardless of covid restrictions, at the start AND end of your session, please use the sanitary wipes provided to clean all touch-point surfaces, including golf balls and sanitise your hands with the gel provided.
Use waste bins provided for all litter.
Reminder – all glasses and plates must be returned to the bar after members end their simulator session.
