Head Chef – Broomieknowe Golf Club, Bonnyrigg
Broomieknowe Golf Club seeks an experienced, creative and enthusiastic chef, who is prepared to take control of the catering service to provide a high standard of food for all occasions to the members, guests and visitors to the club.
The position is on an employed basis as the Club has recently taken over the management of the catering provision. As such the successful candidate must have excellent operational and financial understanding of the sector, a stable career history and a drive to succeed with a proven track record in menu construction and budget management.
Several years’ experience working in a kitchen environment and an excellent knowledge of best food hygiene practices and relevant certificates are necessary. The preparation of food and presentation to a high quality is essential as the individual will have full responsibility for all the club’s catering requirements.
As Head Chef you can expect the following:
- Great basic salary
- Incentivised bonus scheme.
- 40 hour working week over 5 days – overtime paid.
- 28 days annual leave.
- Free use of the golf course.
Broomieknowe is a parkland golf course, founded in 1905, situated in the heart of Bonnyrigg, and has a thriving golfing and social membership. The club is currently in the process of constructing a new clubhouse facility which will be completed late 2020.

CLUBHOUSE AND GOLF SHOP OPEN AS NORMAL DURING CONSTRUCTION!!!
The Clubhouse catering and bar facilities are open as normal during the construction of our new clubhouse. The golf shop is also open for business as normal. Please access the clubhouse and shop from the west side of the building at the end of the wooden fence opposite number 33 Golf Course Road and next to number 34 Golf Course Road. Signage is in place to direct you. Please park considerately and use the overflow car park during the construction period.
